We support young adults with care needs and offer Day-time enrichment programmes for the development and strengthening of life skills.

The staff encourage the young persons to be involve in a range of social, leisure and cultural experiences depending on the young adult's interest and abilities. The staff support the young adult to explore his local area like local amenities including shops, public houses, library, parks. Staff facilitate programmes to promote development of independence, life and social skills. Appleford Homes staff establish positive relationships with the young adults and ensure that their rights are respected. They support the young adult to meet hospital appointments with the permission of parents.
The worker assisting the young adult explores a range of methods and techniques to provide information and ensure learning as appropriate.
The objective is to listen to the young adult so that he/she may speak out and develop positive self-esteem. This is done in a non-judgmental, non-directive and supportive way.
